Review: Siddhartha

Siddhartha Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was beautiful little classic book which might have been a poem in German but in translation it became a story and a simple but effective story. The story is about a young brahmin called Siddhartha and his journey towards his salvation as dissatisfied with the current knowledge he tries to find more and unable to find what he is looking for he moves ahead and tries his luck and moves through life experiences.

This translation was easy to follow and the introduction had already explained few minor points already so it was a doozy to go through this smallish book. I am happy to be able to experience this story. This is the story of a common man whose thirst and desire for knowledge takes him through so many different experiences. My only issues were with the fact that like all classics it sometimes gets a little slower even in the small size, but it's another book which people should read once and it was perfectly part of Goodread's 100 top books.

So yeah if you are going through classics or just want to get to read a good book pick this and hopefully you would be happier for it too after that just Keep on Reading .
