Review: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary

Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary by Brandon Mull
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This time the book starts with many shocking events and move fast but still the Dragon Sanctuary doesn't even get a mention till halfway through the way in the story. But then again the books are like this and the fantastical has always been fantastic. This hasn't been an exception, this was again fun with lot of different wonderful moments that bring the story forward. There was another traitor this time around which was just heartbreaking. Now's the time to jump to the fifth and last book but not before I try to finish the books already in the Currently reading list of Goodreads.

People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genre but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books which are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

Review: The Last Wish

The Last Wish The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So I already have all three games but had just started playing the first game and it has aged a bit and the reason I got them now is that I have the 3rd one on my PS4 but I just built my gaming rig after a long gap so finally had to get the classics and would play in the order to the latest game but that's going to take time. So when the Netflix series came I took some time off and finished the series in quick 2-3 sessions. And now I have Witcher craving so here comes the original book series to help in that regards. Having seen the series its fun to see where the inspiration was taken for different episodes and bits and also there are differences in the book and the series but then they two different mediums. So I understand and also the books were written slightly back so there's that. Having finished this I am onto the second short story collection.

Review: The Anarchy: The East India Company, Corporate Violence, and the Pillage of an Empire

The Anarchy: The East India Company, Corporate Violence, and the Pillage of an Empire The Anarchy: The East India Company, Corporate Violence, and the Pillage of an Empire by William Dalrymple
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yeah, no convincing needed for me to believe that British were worst news for India and this book from one of the most favorite historians William Dalrymple is another masterstroke from the master historian. This book is his probably third book about Mughals and British (The White Mughals and The Last Mughal) being other two but this one is mostly focused more on East India Company and how that corporation created an advanced army and was able to defeat all the other empires and chaos and anarchy created by the events set in motion by them. The narration was so well and the book so well that as soon as I was about 3 hours in I also ordered the Hardcover version of the book partly because I wanted to read it in detail later but also to be able to see all the wonderful paintings and illustrations given throughout of the book. So here goes my first review of the year 2020. I am glad that I could start the year with a 5-star book and I hope that the rest of the year follows the suit.
